Description
|
The cosine coil geometry creates an extended cylindrical volume of transverse magnetic field. The shielded coil of this example was designed for rastering an electron beam in a high volume X-ray scanning system. Because the calculation required a large number of applied current elements, a Perl script was used for automatic generation of entries in the MagWinder input file.

Results
|
The results are applied in an OmniTrak simulation of beam dynamics in the X-ray scanning system.

|
This example demonstrates the advantages of text input scripts as intermediaries between interactive interfaces and technical programs. Sections of scripts for complex assemblies can be generated automatically.
