Description Calculation of the self-capacitance of a parallel plate capacitor (plate radius 10.0 cm, gap width 3.0 cm, quartz dielectric fills the gap (EpsiR = 4.2).
Results The code result was 43.3 pF. For comparison, the analytic value for ideal fields confined to the gap is 39.9 pF. In the numerical solution, 95% of the field energy was confined to the gap.
Comments The geometry was based on a Comsol example for comparison.
